Youform MCP tools and permissions

When you connect a supported AI assistant to Youform, the assistant works with your forms through a set of tools. This reference lists what each tool can do, its limits, and the plan requirements that apply.
Available tools

Get form | Returns a form's metadata and ordered draft block structure. | Requires the form slug; returns Form not found. when the form is not accessible. |
Create form | Creates a blank form with welcome and thank-you blocks. | Uses the current workspace; default name is My Form. |
List block types | Lists available block types, or returns the default structure for one type. | Unknown types return Unknown block type. |
Add block | Adds a question or block to a draft. | Requires an exact block type; payment blocks require Pro; only one payment block is allowed. |
Update block | Replaces a draft block's complete data. | The complete block object is required; omitted fields are removed. |
Delete block | Deletes a draft block. | Destructive; requires confirmation when the block has submission data. |
Publish form | Publishes the draft to the public form URL. | Subject to workspace, email-verification, translation, and published-state checks. |

Permissions
After you approve the connection, the assistant can view your forms, responses, and analytics, and create, edit, and publish forms on your behalf. It cannot delete your forms or responses.
Form access is limited to the workspaces that belong to your account. Deleting a form or a submission is intentionally not available through the connection.
