Build and edit a form on your phone

The form editor works on phones. It uses tabs along the bottom: Blocks, Preview, Edit, and Design, plus an AI tab when the AI editor is active. You can add and reorder questions, edit from the preview, adjust the design, and review AI suggestions, all from your phone.

Add a question

The Blocks tab lists every question in your form and is where you add new ones.

1. Tap Blocks.

2. Tap Add block.

3. Search for a block type or browse the grouped list, then tap the block you want.

The builder switches to the Edit tab so you can set up the new question right away.

Reorder questions

You can reorder in two ways: by dragging in Reorder mode, or with the Move up and Move down actions in a block's options menu.

Reorder mode

1. On the Blocks tab, tap Reorder.

2. Hold a block and drag it to its new position. The screen shows Hold and drag a block to move it.

3. Tap Done to leave Reorder mode.

Move up and Move down

1. Open a block's options menu.

2. Tap Move up or Move down to shift the block one position at a time.

Move up is unavailable for the first block and Move down for the last.

Preview and edit a question

The Preview tab shows the form preview for your selected block, and you can go straight from the preview into editing.

1. Tap Preview.

2. Tap the question in the preview. The builder opens the Edit tab focused on that question, so you can change it immediately.

Edit a question

The Edit tab shows the editor for the currently selected block. The header shows where you are in the form, for example Block 2 of 5, with previous and next arrows to step through the blocks one at a time.

Change the design

The Design tab controls how your form looks, with Basic and Advanced tabs.

1. Tap Design.

2. On Basic, open Open Theme Gallery to pick a designer theme, or adjust colors for the background, questions, answers, and buttons. You can also change the font and font size, add a background image or logo, and adjust the corner styling.

3. Open Advanced for more detailed design options.

4. Tap Save to keep your changes.

Review AI suggestions

When the AI editor is active, an AI tab appears at the bottom. You can prompt the assistant from the chat view, and once a proposal arrives you can review it in the Preview or Questions views.

1. Open the AI tab.

2. Review the proposed changes in Preview or Questions.

3. Tap Accept changes to apply the proposal, or Reject to discard it. Your form stays unchanged until you accept.
